Pennecon is seeking qualified individuals to work at the Nalunaq Mine Site in Southern Greenland.

As we ramp up with this project, we are seeking motivated and talented individuals who possess the technical skills required to contribute to the project team.

 

Role: Instrumentation Journeyperson

Location: Nanortalik, Greenland

 

The successful candidates will play a critical role in supporting the success of the Nalunaq Mine project, This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

 

 

Duties include:

•Install, calibrate, and maintain various instrumentation systems, including flow meters, pressure sensors, temperature gauges, and other control devices.
•Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and control systems to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
•Conduct regular inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on instrumentation systems.
•Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
•Work closely with the electrical and mechanical teams to ensure integrated system performance.
•Follow company and project-specific safety procedures and protocols.
•Document maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status.
•Provide input for process improvements and participate in commissioning and start-up activities as needed.

 

The Ideal Applicant for this position will possess the following:
Required Education and Experience
•Certified Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician (or equivalent certification).
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance and repair, preferably in a mining or industrial setting.
•Strong knowledge of process control systems.
•Ability to work in remote and challenging environments.
•Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
•Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
•Strong commitment to adhering to workplace safety standards and procedures.

Safety Requirements
•First Aid training would be an asset
•Fall protection would be an asset

Work Schedule and Conditions
•Remote Work in Northern Climates
•Working outside
•Local accommodations provided, with camp construction pending
•This position will be required to be on an extended work schedule, with longer hours and weekend work necessary to progress the project in a short construction season (3 weeks on / 3 weeks off)
