Pavex is seeking qualified individuals to work at its Qaqortoq, Airport Construction Site in Greenland. We are seeking motivated and talented individuals who possess the technical skills required to contribute to our heavy civil project team for the 2024 Construction Season.

Role: Superintendent

Location: Qaqortoq, Greenland

The successful candidates will work in the field and be responsible to support the Company’s safety, quality and environmental programs, in the execution of the work.

Duties include:

• Collaborate in preparing the work plan before the start of the work
• Monitor production as well as the costs of the work according to the times and methods established in the estimate
• Supervise the employees and ensure the smooth functioning of the teams
• Ensure the supply of machinery and materials on the construction site
• Forecast competent manpower according to the needs of the work
• Direct the execution of work on a day-to-day basis on one or more construction sites
• Coordinate the execution of work with other departments
• Write a construction journal

The Ideal Applicant for this position will possess the following:

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma
• Minimum of 5 years experience
• Experience in similar role
• Have knowledge of computer skills and Office tools
• Experience in the field of asphalt would be considered as an asset

Safety Requirements

• WHMIS, Powerline Hazard Training, First Aid Training would be an asset, OHS Committee Training would be an asset
  

Work Schedule and Conditions

• Remote Work in Northern Climates
• Working outside
• Accommodations provided at the Site Construction Camp
• Work is scheduled based on a 28 days on / 14 days off rotation schedule with 10 hours per day for 7 days per week
