Pavex is seeking qualified individuals to work at its Qaqortoq, Airport Construction Site in Greenland. We are seeking motivated and talented individuals who possess the technical skills required to contribute to our heavy civil project team for the 2024 Construction Season.
Role: Surveyor
Location: Qaqortoq, Greenland
The successful candidates will work in the field and be responsible to support the Company’s safety, quality and environmental programs, in the execution of the work.
Duties include:
- Preparing tables and files related to surveying
- Directing, planning, and supervising topographic surveys
- Recording different measurements and received data
- Compiling data and documents
The Ideal Applicant for this position will possess the following:
Required Education and Experience
- Skills in calculations and geometry
- Ability to understand plans and specifications well
- Thoroughness, precision, and attention to detail
- Autonomy, resourcefulness, and flexibility
Safety Requirements
- WHMIS, Powerline Hazard Training, First Aid Training would be an asset, OHS Committee Training would be an asset
Work Schedule and Conditions
- Remote Work in Northern Climates
- Working outside
- Accommodations provided at the Site Construction Camp
- Work is scheduled based on a 28 days on / 14 days off rotation schedule with 10 hours per day for 7 days per week
